Technique

Ballet

We emphasize proper ballet technique while learning ballet's very complex language and terminology. Dancers improve turnout, posture, strength, balance, and flexibility. They will do ballet barre, stretch, and center exercises.

Tumble

Tumbling classes are based off both a dancer's age and level (for example a junior dancer may be an advanced tumbler). Class activities will include floor warm ups and exercises, trampoline, and conditioning.

Turns

A technique based class focusing on basic body alignment and terminology. Dancers will learn how to hold their body correctly and engage muscles needed for more advanced technique skills.

Flexibility

Dancers will engage in multiple exercises to improve their flexibility and strength. This will go hand and hand with their other technique classes as well as within recreational and/or company classes.

Tap

A technique based class that focuses on using sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. This class will expand on a dancer’s musicality with an emphasis on rhythm and timing.
